Had the boat in for sevice and the shop broke my windshield. Were're out of commission for 3 weeks while it's being replaced. The up side is that they are giving me the color of my choice.

Tom, by the way, I'd be up for something other than Yardhouse, I'm just not familiar with anyplace else. If we're going to Newport let me know and I'll leave my mufflers on!

Hey Sean, What do you think about running over to Catalina for lunch....
Kevin is running out of Marina Del Rey and heading down and we could meet him out in the middle and run the rest of the way to Catalina...

I have your cel and will give you a call in the morning about 9am... We should be down there around 9:30...

Tom, good to (briefly!) meet you guys. You have an amazing ride! I wish we could have seen more of it.

Saturday was one of those days... As Chief Brophy said, "We're gonna need a bigger boat". We got our butts kicked! After lunch we went back out to play some more and broke the side off my passenger's seat (and also knocked about half of the screws and bolts in the boat loose) when the boat and ocean conspired to toss us out. I'm still sore today. I'm sure in your 38' it was like a pond though!

How was the ride back?

Hopefully I'll catch up with you guys at the Scope party in a couple of months.

You ever find out why your buddy with the Donzi decided not to head over? It seemed like he was having motor problems (or just doing a lot of "admiring" of his engine bay).

Good to meet you too Sean....next time we'll definitely have to hang out more....
It was a dumb luck weekend for us too....It was also bumpy for us too on the way over...then when we go to get our mooring, our port engine starts cutting out...so we have to tie up on one engine...we think it's a stuck jet in one of the carbs so we go have lunch...we get back, check the carbs and that's not it...turns out to be the coil...luckily Kevin has a spare coil and we change ours..runs great again...
As we start to idle out of the harbor, Kevins starb engine craps out too...worse, we think it's a coil and I just put his spare on our boat....
And as it goes...there is no store in Avalon that has a coil...
So we leave his boat, and all ride back on ours...
Return trip Sunday morning with a new coil...great water (go figure). We get there, change the coil...start to idle out, and Kevins boat is worse than before...Not the coil. Of course that made me feel better that I didn't use his last part...we think it must be his ignition box (of course we didn't have one of those with us)...So we have to call for a tow...
We went to lunch at the Yardhouse on Sunday since Kevin had to wait for his boat.
