Delta's?
Best place to stay?
Best place to launch the boat? What to expect? Fun places to go?eat? Thinking about doing a trip in august to the Delta's in Norcal. Any advice would be appreciated. |
Delta
Discovery bay is a great spot, some of us SCOPE members are going to the Big Cat poker run on Aug 14th. It a fun event for a good cause. Hotels are limited. There is a new Hampton Inn in Brentwood a few miles from the harbor.

You could look up places such as:
Discoverybay Tower Park Lighthouse B&W Bethel Isle Places to go: Go crusie up the sac river to old town sac, if you do keep going all the way up to a place called swabbies, best tacos you will ever have. Or go out to tibouron to a place called sams, just depends on what boat your in. Mainly get that map out and explor, or get a local like me to be your tour guide. you could also launch at Honkercut Marine |
California Delta
Check out this website: http://www.californiadelta.org/ lots of info.
In Stockton, check out Chitiva's or Nena's on the water front, Garlic Brothers and Bob's off fourteen mile slough, Windmill Cove on the main channel. Near Brannon Island check out Lighthouse, Riverboat, Pirates Lair, Happy Harbor, Spindrift, Outrigger. On Bethel Island check out Rusty Porthole and Sugar Barge. Gotta see the homes in Discovery Bay and eat at the Boardwalk Grill and Orwood. Just to name a few. You can also go up to Sacramento and hang out in old town. Places to go in Antioch, Pittsburg, Benecia, on the way to SF Bay. Lot's to do...:boat: |
