Desert Storm
 

Hey guys, I am flying out of MI for my 1st Desert Storm event this April. I will just be a spectator as I will not have enough time to tow the formula all the way from the Midwest. Anyways was just thinking if anyone is interested in having an extra passenger, and some extra gas money I am happy to pay for my ride. I am 28 years old and a nice fun guy. Anyways just a thought to make the most of my trip. Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks Rob.

Rob,,, when you get there,,, just kinda chill and talk to boaters at the docks... mainly the nautical inn docks,ramp, and also the london bridge resort docks.... If they see your a nice guy, and willing to help clean, wipe the boat off etc... they will allow you to ride w/ them... I've had great experiences with that in the past.... HAVE FUN,, I cant wait to get there myself.....:drink:

Thanks for the advice PokerRun, I also can't wait to get there. This is the first time I will be attending an event like this, and am very excited. It would be real sweet to be able to take part in the poker run. See you down there!!!

Rob, Glad to hear you are making the trip! Make sure you are in town for the Thursday Street Party! It is always off the hook! You will get a chance to meet others who will be on the run and are likely to find a ride. Also, plan to hang around the Nautical Inn on Friday. Any of the crew from LakeRacer (event organizer) can help you find what you need.

Yes, I am flying into Vegas Wednesday night, and then renting a car to drive into Lake Havasu. Should be to my hotel room by 2:00am Thurdsay morning. Which will feel like 5:00am for me, coming from Michigan. But I will for sure be there for the street party. Absolutely cannot wait for this event!!!

What time does your flight come in? I'll be driving down Wednesday night...honk as you go by. Can't miss a 30' Scarab with V8 outboards hanging off the back. :)

Safe travels to the West Coast. Don't get distracted when you land in Vegas. :) After visiting here you may never want to go back to MI!!!!! ;) I know, i'm from WI and now live in Cali.

I was born and raised in Oshkosh, WI so I guess technically, I'm a midwest girl. Left for college at 18 to go to ASU (Tempe, AZ). I then moved out to CA for a job, then back to AZ for 5 years and now we're back in CA... likely here to stay. You just can't beat the weather in Cali :) We do love the desert but we also love the ocean.
