Havasu people. Point me where I need to go.
So at the end of this month I am going to pick up a new to me 312 fastech from maxed out marine and tote it all the way back across the country to alabama. But before I make that incredibly long journey back home, I want to spend a few hours on havasu. So if you had one afternoon there, what is the absolute one spot you must see. This would be on the afternoon of August 28th (Friday). Thanks in advance.

Lakes not all that big. From the ramp run down the lake to the dam, then back up the lake. Above Lake Havasu City stay to the california side. Enter the river itself, Sandbar will be on your right. Run up past 40 and on your left is Pirates Cove. Do not run up any farther as it is shallow and you need local knowledge. In the river itself stay in the middle it will be from 3 to 5 feet deep.

The gorge is the ONE place you would not want to miss and in your new boat it won't take long to get there. From the south end of the lake to the entrance to the river north is under 20 miles, I can't remember the mileage to Pirates cove. I will have to agree with fossil fuel, run all the way down to the dam and then up to Pirates Cove, it would make a great day of boating and you won't miss anything.

also here is what I'm picking up. Has anyone seen this boat in person? Know anything about it?

This helps some with overview info against google maps, which I like better. http://www.golakehavasu.com/ Has good info for what is going on in the area. I am certain MaxedOutMarine will help you out as well. |
