Yeah but it's mostly work.
I grow strawberries in FL, our growing season here is late fall though early spring, nothing but heat/rain in the summer. April - Oct I raise strawberry nursery stock near Priest River, pack and ship to FL in oct for our planting stock for fruit production. Also do 200 ac alfalfa on fields that have rotated out of plant nursery for a while. Gets me out of Fl for part of the summer, back and forth once or twice a month all summer. Wife and kids make it up for 4wks in mid July, love the summers in north Idaho

Which direction from Priest River do you farm? I have been through Sarasota once after a convention in Tampa. We drove down the coast to spend time in the Keys. We enjoy the Marathon area, a little more laid back. We have stayed at Hawk's Cay and got to witness a poker run for the first time when they stopped in. There were 2 turbine powered boats, I have never felt so poor in my life!

Is scream and fly family friendly? I know cb is an all out drunken Rager on holidays, but I'm trying to take the family to some cool boating events with friendly people

Generally speaking, yes it is, although I've seen a few pasties. There's usually at least a few boats with kids and everyone has a good time without any craziness.

Edit, I'm talking about the meet up at the sandbar on Saturday, never camped there and the campground is under renovation I believe.
