Yeah. Hope it doesn't do too much damage to anyone. How's Paducah holding up?

Jim Diesel 04-27-2011 09:42 PM

If it hits 371 it will be a new record, the thing about last year they were able to spill to the river but this year there going to have to hold it! Lets hope it falls quick!

good point... im hearing 373 now???

I thought 372 was limit lake could go to- at that level started flowing over the lowest point of one of the dam's. Not sure if KY Dam or Barkley that limits that.

I heard 375' would put water over the top of KY Dam. It set a record yesterday with 370'

BKSAE 05-03-2011 08:09 PM

How bad did it get

Jim Diesel 05-03-2011 09:17 PM

Its at 373 and going 373.3 tomorrow, but the most water the dam can hold back is 375.

jonyb 05-05-2011 03:29 PM

Yep, 375 is over the top. It's about to be a big mess... Up there, and on the river. They're saying now that once everything crest's, it'll stay there for a week. I doubt any of this water is going anywhere fast, but lets hope it does. My campsite is destroyed. Luckily I've got some good landlords and the camper was moved long before the flood hit. The work around the site isn't so good though.

Hope everyone else is doing good.

From Moor's facebook page:

Latest forecast from TVA:
372.3' Tonight
371.4' Friday
370.2' Saturday
369.2' Sunday
...368.1' Monday
367.0' Tuesday

Hopefully it will fall fast!

Will the lake levels have any impact on the KY Lake Poker Run in a month? Will it be back to normal level by then?

BL6 05-12-2011 08:12 PM

Guys can you explain a little more what those height levels mean. When you say 375' is max at Ky Damn, does that mean close to old road surface? Can't be that high. How are marina's? KY Damn, GTB, Buzzard, etc?

The lake levels should be back to normal in about 8 days. The water should clear up shortly after.

Went out yesterday to do some prop testing. The water was great. Very little drift wood.

Which lake, Ky or Barkley. I think we may come down for the holiday. The ohio river here is still pretty high and full of trash.

speedreeder 05-15-2011 09:31 PM

Can we find the person that is doing the rain dance and dock tape them to a tree:hothead::hothead::hothead: I mean can we get a break here !!!!

matthewr 05-15-2011 09:34 PM

I ran both lakes. From Barkley Dam to rock quarry then back to buzzard rock. Ky Lake was great. Didn't see one piece of drift. Barkley had a couple of logs but that was outside the channel. Channel was great. Both lakes will be alright to run. This weather is definitely a kick in the face.

Only a 50% chance of scattered storms... that means we have a 50% chance of a nice weekend! :drink:
