Lake Accomodations
 

We are looking to come to the lake on the weekend Aug. 20-21. Where does everybody hang out and is there anything special happening that weekend. I would also like to get some recommendations on a good place to stay near the north end of the lake. We would like to rent something overlooking the water with docking available if possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone here will say to stay at Moor's. They've got a lodge and some cabins. Docks are fine too. That area is just west of all of the hang outs - Rock Quarry, The Sands, and Smith Bay. Rock Quarry is just that, the other 2 are a beach area, Sands being the biggest and easiest to find.

As for what's going on that weekend, probably not much more than normal. Others here can chime in on that one. I hang out around The Sands and Smith, but may be in the Quarry depending on my company and who is out that day.
