remember too that if you go with a hopped up single to get the speed it will be hard on drives....... upgrades will probably be in order......any 29 is alot of boat for a single

You cant - Twin's pull much harder with twice the prop's

Twins just sound to good to go with a single. I'm missing the sound of mine bouncing off each other as I look out the window and it's about 10degrees out. Time to move south.

A friend has had both and preferred the single 454 over the twin 350's. the single burnt less fuel and stayed hooked up in the rough better.

I find that hard to believe . The boat is too light with the twins in it. Maybe you just have a different idea of rough water.

I spoke with someone in TX, who has a 96 with an HP500 in it. Says it runs low 70's, that seems fast for that set-up, is that about right?
It's a very clean boat, & he seems to have it priced right.
