Gaffrig/Livorsi Electronic Compass

I have a Gaffrig/Livorsi Electronic Compass. When I turn it on, it works for about 10 seconds and goes dead. Anybody ever experience this or know what to look for??? Thanks

check power source if you havnt yet if all is good just send back to Livorsi they are very good about warranty
