Question 496 Mag HO Winterization

Does anyone know where I can find step by step instructions for winterizing a 496 Mag HO??

Barnes and Noble was sold out of "Winterization for Dummies"

Feel free to post instructions if you have done it before.

Thanks

My procedure:

1. grease trailer bearings, coupler, gimble

2.run fuel as low as possible, stabalize whats left...

3. start engine, get up to operating temp. Change engine oil and filter

4. Change gear lube.

5. pump out water with little blue pump.

6. start engine and run 2 gallons of pink RV anti-freeze through it and stop.

7. pull fuel filter, dump half the gas out of it and fill the rest with 2-stroke oil.

8. reinstall fuel filter, start engine run an additional 2 gallons of pink RV.

9. pump out RV with little blue pump.

10. Depending on how anal you are, pull each plug and squirt oil into cylinders.

11. Install fresh fuel filter.

I usually run between 40-60 hour per season, I do one oil and drive change per year at the end of each season right before winterizing..

U forgot to pull the 3 blue plugs out and remove the end caps from the heat exchanger.

If you have any sand or mud in there it will hold moisture and freeze ..resulting in a new heat exchanger...$750 plus..

Thats the purpose of running the RV -50 degree antifreeze through it... I dont think your gonna find many people disassembling their exchangers for winterizing...
