I was wondering to try to gain some more speed if I should get an IMOC shorty and and try my boat is a 93 nova spyder bravo 1 My measurement from the crankshaft to bottom of boat is 16". Propshaft to bottom of hull is 6.5 inches. Has anybody done this and what were the results

I have a baja ol 24 went from a 7 1/2 to 5 1/2 with the 2'' shortie its working get for me so for you go with a 1'' shortie.I went from 74/75 to 81/83 with that and a carb change my old one was way off got a nickerson 1050

getting on plane I use the k planes mine are 380s once I get up to 3000rpm I hit it and sit back and smile its quick running a 26b1 going to a 28b1 even when I am ging 5000rpm if I nail it it throws you back for the nexted 800rpm
