496 HO mufflers
I give up. Screw the neighbors. I need some noise. I have twin 496 HO's w/ silent choice. A friend said just remove the baffles. What do you think? Will I need to make any adjustments? TIA.

You must have something like quick n quiet or something like that which has baffles in it. Standard silent choice consists of diverters with nothing more than a flapper inside to force the exhaust through the prop. When open, the exhaust exits straight through the transom without restriction.

I guess I just look at it differently. Silent choice (or captain's call) are just the diverters, and the Corsa Quick and Quiet systems have mufflers/baffles involved. If what we are talking about here is the Quick and Quiet Plus, then it seems to be a combo of the switched electric diverters and mufflers. You might be money ahead to remove the mufflers and sell them and install new tips with reversion protection versus cutting out your baffles.
