what do these props fit?
Can anyone tell me what these props fit? They are mercury quicksilver mirage 25" 3-blade part # 48-13707 A41 and 48-13706 A41. I have a 357 SR1 Formula with TRS drives. I think these are the correct props to fit but would like to know if anyone can tell me for sure. Thanks

The props will fit, as far as them being the correct pitch it depends on your motors.
Just make sure you have the proper hardware to mount them onto the prop shaft.
Put them on and see how they run, then go from there.

Going from a 21" to a 25" prop of the same kind, you will loose somwhere int the neighborhood of 800 rpms. I don't think you'll be able to spin them fast enough to get into the WOT rpm range for your engines.

Your setup with the 21 Mirage actually sounds pretty good.
Your Formula is relatively heavy and considering the hull, drive and power setup you have your speed is about what I would expect.
I worked with a customer who had a 30 Scarab, 1986 with 502's. He ran 69@5050 with 23 Mirage Plus props.
If you have the dyno sheets on the motor you will want to prop it out so at WOT you run at whatever rpm produces max horsepower. This will yield your best top end speed. Since there were no stock 454's with 420 horsepower you may have to do a little playing around with different pitch props to find out what rpm yields the highest top speed.
If your 21 pitch Mirages are the old style it may be worth trying a pair of 21 pitch Mirage Plus props. These would drop your rpm by a couple hundred. If you would like to try a pair let us know, we have those in test props.

gain some speed and keep the r'sssss up
we can re-work you 21 pitch Mirage props to plane quicker than they do,
add pitch to increase forward travel and cupping for lift to increase the speed and reduce the drag.
Moderatly thin the blades to increase the performance, balance to perfection, satin finish or Mirror polish/
Turnaround time is as quick as you need it and they will be GUARANTEED 100 PERCENT TO YOUR SATISFACTION.
