Re: carb selection advise
I just purchased a Barry Grant Sea Demon and so far I have been pretty impressed. Jegs just started carrying Demons. I would call them for a price. Part # is 1563020EM for Mech Secondaries or 1563020vem for vac-sec. Jegs puts a prefix #132 before BG's part#. You might also want to check with board member RumRunner on his suggestions/comments.

Re: carb selection advise
I am running close to the same set up but with 990 nickerson carbs and they have been perfect. 509's, dart heads 9.5:1, bigger cam (5600-5800rpm range), roller valve train, and gill exhaust.
I was told 565 with this set up. What do you think you will be getting for HP numbers?

Re: carb selection advise
I saw the dyno sheet of the same set up as mine was only the 850 vs the 800 carb and it was 570@5700
Thats why I started to worry about the carb the motor guy said I could use the 800 but I am on the edge and would prob loose 20 hp

Re: carb selection advise
Klaw, I've got 850's on my 515cu.in 9.25:1 and they run great. Dual plane intakes, Port matched steel reg. heads and intakes. 741 roller cams. They idle all day and perform very well.

Klaw,
I'd use a pair of our 850 Mighty Demon Marine Demons with Annular boosters. P/N 5563020GM. These should give you excellent idle quality, throttle response, and overall power while still being legal.
