Lower Drive Unit Spacers
Anyone have much experience in using 1" or 2" spacers on your lower drive unit? My mechanic is recommending a new set of propco props which to his surprise that I blew out of on a normal take-off getting on plane. He suggested that I put a 2" spacer for these specific props and I'll see higher top end speed 4-6 mph?
I've heard that a lot of fountain owners have used them?

Re: Lower Drive Unit Spacers
Tell us a little more about your set-up.
What boat, make and length?
What Power?
What drives and gear ratio?
What props make and pitch?
What WOT RPM and MPH (gps)?
With this information we can run your slip calulations and determine your propeller efficency. This will give you the information you need.
