Baja allowed custom ordered x's for many years. Yes they changed the x in the later years but that does not mean it hadn't been ordered special. Hawkeye Boat Sales in Dubuque,IA was well known for ordering "special" set ups.

Most 33's with standard x and props ran right at the 72-74 as stated. Mine had labbed prop's (BBlades) and had a raised x, ran consistently at 78.

I have in the 650ish neighborhood, my boat has the Team Baja cabin ( bare bones), Deco-lite stringers, boxes and high drve height....I run 1.5 ratio drives and 32" maximus 5 blades.

The boat, at best has ran 94, it runs 88-92 on average, depending on humidity and water conditions.

I wouldnt consider my boat "of the norm" though....it would probably take more than 650 to
get what one would consider "a more standard spec'ed boat " to those speeds.

For comparison , I think mine has lowest drive height and slowest at best of 68 w/3 guys and close to 1/2 full fuel and 50 degrees in Va, lol, brought home and me and wife topped out at 65 at 70 degrees and high humidity.

Consistent at 64 with any load, fuel, ppl etc.. I can say it is very efficient at 9.7 % slip with 25m+ and around 10 with 24b1s even with one slipping 150-200 more than other b/c of bent blade. The b1s are at blades now :-) hoping to get back close to 67-68 with lab and k/n filters lol .. Oh and fixed my bilge blowers and added one pulling air from midship vent and blowing across intakes to help get air temps down.

And did I mention, I changed stripes to get rid of lt green and pink!!

My boat also has the team baja poker run cabin. Ext boxes. High X dimension. Blue printed bottom etc. Pro charged 500efis around 730-830hp. Imco extreme drives 1.36 ratio spinning labbed 30 bravos under propped running a consistent 97mph

Any quick reference dimensions on transom assy placement on hull to verify if set up is on low or high side?

Thanks. Tom.

On the Baja twins I wouldn't go higher than 4.25" where I think they like to be. This is prop height not X

I need to remeasure my prop shaft height but I think it might be closer to 3" below the bottom. I originally measured around 4 1/4 but checked it another time and it seems higher. Sorry need a longer level and second set of hands.

You run 4 or 5 blades?

I am pretty sure mine is 3.75 and 11% slip. But it runs better with the cuddy empty and the slip is higher with it full too.

I had a 06' 33 outlaw. Loved the boat. 72-75 turning labbed 28 pitch
4 blades from bblades. It has been proven that removing the tuebulators
In the exhaust Elbows on the 496 h.o will get you 8 hp per side.
