Default Rear Hatch Lift

Hey everyone, I saw a thread from last year on another boat forum in regards to replacing the rear engine hatch lift piece, was curious if anyone knows if this particular one will work and be safe to use in the engine compartment, as mine never came with one but still has the switch and hookups.

My old acculift actuator went out on me over the winter. I replaced it with this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It now moves the hatch twice as fast!

Concerning the one you found on e-bay... I don't know if a 200# max lift capacity and the fact it's under $60 is going to last very long.... then again I'm not sure how heavy your hatch is.

Thanks Hueby for the link, that does look like a nice one! I was hoping for the price maybe I could get a summer or two out of the ebay one, but your right, that price is pretty cheap which probably reflects the quality as well. There was someone on another forum, think it was bajaowners forum where he said it hooked up to his hammer but he never did say how it has held up so hard to tell.

I also replace one recently. I replaced the one that was there with the same brand - but in the process found that there are many sizes. If you choose to try this Lenco brand - I'd also tell you to shop around the internet quite a bit as I found the pricing to be all over the place for the same item.

Good luck.
