Nice ! I got my 252 opened up a few days ago. Had to throw a new starter in it but after that she fired right up. Cant wait to hit the water this season.

Like the way that glows. Do you turn them off or unplug them before entering the water?

I don’t.. at night it actually creates a landing strip just line up between the green orbs

You can kinda see the trailer underglow lights in the water

The Donzi isn’t quite done yet so we brought Phil’R Up to LOTO for the weekend.. the new lift makes her look small.

Probably the last time I ever drive Phil’R Up at LOTO.

Stopped at the Barnyard on the way home. They have some good meat.

Default Farewell to Phil’R Up

I can tell you the old saying the best days of owning a boat is the day you buy it and the day you sell it isn’t true. Both of those days were bittersweet for me. For those of you who don’t know the reason I was able to buy Phil’R Up is the previous owner’s wife was loosing her battle with cancer so the boat no longer made sense for him to keep. I was super happy to get the boat I had been dreaming about since I was 16 but also sad for him. Seeing him in my side mirror standing in the middle of the road watching his old boat disappear knowing that his wife would disappear in a month as well is gut-wrenching. Yesterday I got to experience a fraction of that pain and sadness as I watched Phil’R Up leave with her new owner and it made me realize that the best days of owning should be the days between buying and selling it. So congrats to the new owner I hope he gets the opportunity to stand in the middle of the road as his baby drives away sad and wondering if just made a big mistake because that means he did boating right. Thanks for all the support (89k views is crazy), knowledge, and suggestions OSO friends. The new owners name is Josh and he is aware of this thread but I don’t know if he will continue to add to it

Farewell Phil’R Up And thanks again OSO friends.

Congrats on the sale Phil! Hope it went to another good owner. I agree the “day you sell your boat” saying is garbage and mostly for people that shouldn’t of been owning a boat in the first place.
