Another update...does not seem like a lot has been accomplished, but many many days have been spent block sanding deck, then filling, then block sanding, then....! It finally has blocked out smooth. Made a outline mock up of Seatek with motor mounts in proper locations. Aligned mock up to drive location, discovered the hatches are too low! Attached a picture. Thought about scoops, my son (16 years old, liked that), but I just don't think it works on this boat. Dan Archer stopped by to check out my progress, he had an awesome solution, just raise hatch hieght. At the same time, I will disc the twin hatches for one large one hinged from the back, this will allow easy access down the middle between engines, as well. Problem solved, thanks Dan!

You have to look at reference points to spot the new location of hatch. Also removed the center piece. It will now accommodate the Seatek's height. I've attached a few photos along the way. Fabricating the pattern for one piece hatch now. Sorry, just realized I attached the photos twice, can't figure out how to delete photos!

It's been a little while for updates. We're getting closer! The Seatek 600hp engines have arrived to Archer Marine. Dan will be installing. We're running TwinDisc 5075 SC with .80:1 ratio. This will put prop speed around 3900 rpm. Install should start within the next few weeks. If you've been watching weather, SoCal has been held up a lot with weather related stuff. I know, nothing compared to the rest of USA...but at least we're getting a little bit of weather!

So no real updates right now, next step is install of Seateks at Archer. But I am curious and open to any and all thoughts on how this project should progress. Anything from color schemes to cockpit and cabin ideas. It's still an "open canvas" so to speak. Couple things that I'm already pretty set on are no generator, will use "I think" lithium ion house battery with 3000 watt inverter, stay with only new 2 burner electric cooktop, norcold refer, existing a/c heat. I've added a bow thruster. What else should I consider as I wrap things up?
Thanks for your input!
David

Thank you for the input. Maybe a teak or mahogany cockpit floor like the "Playboy" versions?
Thanks
