Nigel,I think that the little serial holes was made during the modifications in a fast cruiser,like the two (one on each side) ovoidal holes.

Love reading the old cigarette threads!!! Does any one have any idea on what it coast to have the race boat transformed into a cruiser???

jep....this project has been put on hold...as per today she still is as she was hangar kept, waiting to solve others projects..restored two other boats and a house in the meantime
It's for sale, btw..
