Just started looking for a bigger boat, and we really like the compromise of the 38 zx as far as amenities to performance. Found a couple 2001 and newer models we like and want to take a better look at, but also found some earlier models (mid 90's) without the step hull are reasonably priced. Is the newer hull a major advantage or? Thanks

One other question, how realistic is it for me to tow one of these with my 2008 Dodge Ram 2300 4 x 4 with a 6.7 Cummins and 6 speed automatic trans? Truck has less than 100k miles and a programmer on it. Thanks again.

I got a 38 ZX i tow with a 04 duramax, I bought the boat 400 miles away and drove home. You know its back there but as long as you know how to tow a trailer you should be fine

Also the twin step hull i think is worth the extra money....
