Question alpha 1 to bravo 1 conversion

i have a 21' scarab and am planning on swapping the alpha for a bravo. Just wondering what all i need to complete the conversion. I have the whole bravo setup transom assy and all. Is the bolt pattern and cut out the same??

I Was Told By Bob T. That Alpha 1 Gen Ii To A Bravo 1 All You Have To Do Is Drill 2 Extra Holes And Mount All The Bravio 1 Gear. Not A Big Deal If You Have The "full" Bravo 1 Set Up

that is true but remember your x dimension is going to change.

How much difference is there in the x dimension? Are you sure?

The Alpha I and Bravo I are exactly the same dimension from propshaft to u-joint center line. 21 13/16"
Swapping an Alpha to Bravo I will not lower your propshaft.

As mentioned it will require two new holes. Inner and outer brackets, bellhousing, drive, coupler, rams
Alpha Gen II only uses the same trim pump and hoses as the Bravo.

tt, That's a heckuva price! Most just get a drive for that price. Merc sells a paper template for something like $0.37.
I don't see why one could not hold up the outer transom plate on the transom and mark the two holes and then drill them.

I thought that was the case , my bud did the same on his 29 scarab and I remember it being a simple thing though he was wondering about the x dim before he verified the same dim as you said!
