I Was Told By Bob T. That Alpha 1 Gen Ii To A Bravo 1 All You Have To Do Is Drill 2 Extra Holes And Mount All The Bravio 1 Gear. Not A Big Deal If You Have The "full" Bravo 1 Set Up

The Alpha I and Bravo I are exactly the same dimension from propshaft to u-joint center line. 21 13/16"
Swapping an Alpha to Bravo I will not lower your propshaft.
As mentioned it will require two new holes. Inner and outer brackets, bellhousing, drive, coupler, rams
Alpha Gen II only uses the same trim pump and hoses as the Bravo.

tt, That's a heckuva price! Most just get a drive for that price. Merc sells a paper template for something like $0.37.
I don't see why one could not hold up the outer transom plate on the transom and mark the two holes and then drill them.
