Picked up almost 100 rpm in back to back testing.

Which weight are you using, the 75/90 ?

vs which weight in the Amsoil ?

2009 Nordic Heat - 600sci - Whipple Stage X - SCX drive
Straight 80 weight.

The Amsoil is 75/90 Severe Gear.

I will be testing the Alisyn 75/90 next oil change.

I would recommend using the marine gear lube instead of the Severe gear because it was designed to work better with the cone clutches in the bravo and also with up to 10% water contamination. Let me know if I can help.

Just switched to the Amsoil. I called the Amsoil tech line and they said the marine, also said they sponsor a race boat that runs it in their drives, Teague I assume. Then called Teague and their comment was that the marine was fine for family craft, but only stock and use the severe gear in their drives. I got the severe gear based on their advise, actually is the 75-110. They said they did use the 75-90 but feel the 75-110 is a little better and now only stock it. Honestly think for my application the 75-90 would be fine but they seem pretty solid in their choice. Told me that the weight difference would not take away any rpm so we'll see.

I've used Alisyn from Aerospace Lubricants for years, by far the best. The engineers from Aerospace refer to Amsoil as "sludge". "I'm just sayin'"

When you look at the numbers, that Aerospace Lubricants isn't a bad product at all but when you compare the number to Amsoil saying that Amsoil is sludge, that's ignorant. The oil's are actually quite similar and priced quite a bit less.

That is exactly what I tried to say about 3 pages ago. Chemically the stuff looks good, but is it better, no, and especially not for the price!
