WHEN INSTALLING a new cable how do you adjust it so when you put the drive back on you dont have to adjust it ten times to get both gears

Get both tools and follow the steps in the book, its straight forward and easy to do.

Put the barrel on the cable in the same spot as the old cable. That will get you close if not right on if you don't have the tool.

Buy the tool and save yourself grief. It's only about $30.

I made a tool by cutting a slit in a paint stirrer with a saw. Took about 30 seconds and worked great

Parts #s are 91-12427 Shift cable adjustment tool and 91-17262 Core wire locating tool.
Bravo Shop has them in stock.
