My 1997 Bravo drives and transoms are OK xxxxxx so the OF's will be older.

Thanks Griff, how much older, like maybe mid 1990's, it came off a 1998 Baja, original boat owner says he didn't change it till now.

That comes up as a 1994 3.0LX engine, are you sure of the number?

and if that was for a 3.0L - 4 banger - the gear ratio would not be 1.50 either.

BAM are you around today - I would like to call you about something. Thanks John

Using 0L453793 would make it a early model 1998 MERCRUISER PERFORMANCE DRIVE BRAVO 1, 1.50:1R model number 5C31200LS. http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Me...0LS/parts.html

Thanks for all the help,
I have a lot of pics of the drive & internal parts, definitely a Bravo1 , 1;50 ratio upper gear tooth count, thin floor gears , looks good , the upper bearing went bad so the owner bought a rebuilt unit , will know more More after I see it.

OK, I inspected the Bravo1 today, it ,,OL,, Code, stamped very lightly and hard to see , used a magnifying glass to figure it out,, looks real good overall so I'm gonna install all new bearings/seals, etc. on upper & lower.
Thanks for all the Tech. help & info.

Mike
