Adding 3rd Battery
Going to add a third battery, this is my current setup
Twin Merc 700 SCI with two batteries, I think one house one starting battery. Not exactly sure how charger is connected. Running 4 JBL Amps 500 Watts each for the sound system. I have been told to wire the 3rd battery to the house battery and then install a battery isolator.
Can anyone recommend what type of isolator they have used with success, I'm running Optima batteries.
I plan on having my trusted mechanic do the wiring after I have installed the battery boxes, etc.
Looking for equipment recommendations.
Thanks

I am guessing you have 2 starting batteries and one is connected to your stereo system making it your "house" battery. At least that's the way my boats have been. From what understand, battery isolators are old school and the modern way is to have a relay (Blue Seas Battery Relay) in the system for automatic charging. May want to change out your charger to a 3 bank charger also.
