Now the outside.. I'll use a standard 6" piece of 1708 than a 12" piece of 1708 over that to make sure the bond is STRONG.
I already ground down the paint 1/8 to 3/8 earlier in the project - this will help the transition from new to old boat.

Back at it... The 6" 1708 (tape) cloth was applied to the canopy/deck area than I applied a 12" piece of 1708 (tape) over that.

Next step was grinding.. and lots of grinding. If your doing a small piece in a well ventilated area you may be able yo get away with no suit, but when your grinding in a building with little ventilation you should have a GOOD respirator, goggles and body suit.. and I did.
I bunt down all the sharp edges inside and out and prepped the part for finish body work. I did have a couple air void that developed during the drying period that were easily ground out and fixed at this stage.

I just sanded the inside with some 80grit and called it good.. than I seen a couple areas that could have been done better, so I body worked them and sanded again... and again... and again.
Bottom line is this boat is a race / play / poker run boat and the insides will never be show quality or perfect..

I spoke to a few other people and they all seem to say the inside top of the canopy should be painted flat black, to keep the sun reflection down.
As you can see I started sanding (again) and body working the inside.. perfection is not in the cards so I really need to leave well enough alone.
