Little help from the pros...
I'm in the process of restoring my XLT and getting close to the end... the pics are just a reference and not where I'm at now in the project... thank god!
I understand sealing wood with epoxy for panels and bench cushions etc... But for this I'm a little confused on. I am re-building a new bench structure for my big bench seat and backing. I do want the structure to have a glossy white look but also want it to protected from the elements. I will be using Stainless L brackets to keep the structure together and L brackets to attach it to the floor and seal the screws with 5200.
Should I still epoxy or not?
Paint over it with glossy white?
What paint should i use?

white ge lcoat with duratech added will give you a good gloss and protect the surface pretty well. If you really want a nice surface coat it with some heavy white waxed gel then sand it down once then re coat with the Duratec/gel.

Could you send me a link to what specific product your talking about when it comes to gelcoat? Do i need to get a sprayer or anything?
