Formula 382
I own a 2001 382 with 575 SCI's which runs at 83 mph, no Gen or A/C. After I bought it I had a Race Fairing built and installed,
powder coated the rails and a few other things. I came close to buying the 2000 Poker Run boat that was at Dick Simon just before buying this one. The one at dick simon has a A/C but no generator, and started with 540 ProChargers but has been rebuilt to some resemblence of the 540 Bulldog. This boat has had at least teo or three drive replacements that I have been told about. This boat is layed up a 1000 lbs light as I have been told. Good luck. I like my however I don't know how long 83 mph
will suffice.

I have a 382 with HP500EFI's (2001) with extension boxes.....I'm doing about 77-78 in the salt. I also have generator and AC. With the 575's, I would have thought that you would be faster than that. Is that GPS spped?

My buddy has a 2001 382 with XR drives, extension boxes and Teague 800's. The boat has topped out at 100.5 gps. Up to 95 the boat is very stable after 95 the boat will sometimes chine walk violently if it encounters a boat wake from the side.
If you place Whipples on your boat (there goes your warranty)
you should get approx. 750 hp. This should put you in the mid 90's. Remember though after the expense of the Whipples you will need to upgrade those drives
