Default help ! drive trim issues...port slower than starboard

i am having one of those days !
the port side trim for the drive is slower than my starboard side trim...
when i use the "both " switch, one is quite faster than the other..
i tried the following:

-checked the fluids...no water, fluids are the same in both.

-swapped the pump motors....didnt change a thing..i thought
maybe one of the motors was slower...not the case...

-i removed the cylinders off both drives and left the hoses oil lines connected....i hit the button...same issue without load ! the port side goes in or goes out always slower than the starboard....
so even all without load , the port is slower ! i noticed that when the cylindes (off the drives) were pushing out, they were very similar or a tip slower than the starboard side...
but when i was pulling in, the port was definitely slower than the starboard...

help !!!!!!!!!!

anyone ever dealt with such a problem ?

It sounds strange, but when at the dock the pump has to work harder going down because more oil is being returned to the pump from the large side of the cylinder than what is needed to push the rod side in. This oil has to through a port in the pump that is small.
Any supply voltage differences to the pump affect it's performance. In most boats the pumps are wired to the same side engine battery. If one battery is weaker, it will slow that pump down. If the main supply power and ground cables are small, have corroded connections, or significant length, that lowers the supply voltage to the pump. Basically check anything that affects the main supply power and ground to each specific pump. Others have intentionally wired both pumps to one specific battery to help this issue.
