Default What's under the cabin seat in my 27?

Does anyone know what is under the cabin seat (not the bed)? The portta pot is in the center, but what is under the left and right seats? Just wondering if it could be used for storage, maybe even more speakers? This looks like a good spot for a sub? I have a 99' model.

Figured I'd ask before I start taking chit apart.

Not sure, but I think its hollow. Their was a thread about someone taking the cushion off and cutting out the glass underneath to make extra storage. You could take out the pota-pottie and cut a hole to check from the end, that way if its not usable, the hole will not be visable.

This is a really good question. I wonder if it is open to the bilge? Then Moisture would be a problem.. If not. One could put the amps under there?? Hopefully some one will chime in and let us know..

Well,

I say putting anything forward of your cockpit is going to scrub speed. Keep it light as possible. Take the seats out but don't put anything else in their place... hahaha lol

That's just me!!

Very little room to be had under the side seats. Goes from almost nothing along back to a few inches towards center. I think there is a stringer running right thru the middle too. Been a few yrs. Not sure if enough room for an amp, besides be no air flow. Hot amp.

There is a stringer down the middle. And not much room to do anything with. Fountain states that that is all structural and should not be messed with. Or they would have put storage there for you. That was the answer I recieved from Mr Vic when discussing that area on one of my 38's with him.
