My old Fountain was a 2005 Lightning with 525's and shortie speedmasters with 4 blades props. Top speed was 84 mph. I tested a stock set of Maximus props from Brett, then had him lab the set for me. Best top speed I saw was 89 mph. Another advantage was being able to come out of the hole without having to work at it. Your sweet spot will be mid range rpm. Cruising between 60-70 mph you will be turning 1000 rpm's less then you would if you had 4 blades on the back end saving fuel and wear and tear on the engines. Brett was featured in an article in Powerboat Magazine and the Fountain he referenced with the Maximus props was my boat. All around with all the numbers we recorded testing props you cannot go wrong with a set of labbed Maximus props on that setup.

Joe I have been 85 with BBlades labbed Maximus 30's. I get consistant 81-82 with stock 28 Maximus which are better around the dock and much less expensive in Lake Conroe. Both get me out of the hole just fine even with two big adults on the back seat. I keep my rear tanks bone dry.
