Lightning or Fever
I have started to look at Fountains. What is the difference between a 38 Fever and a 38 Lightning?
Are the hulls different?
Is one heavier?
Is one faster?

the deck and cockpit are the difference. A fever has the widest cockpit and to get to the deck you must climb over the windshield. A lightning has less room in the cockpit b/c of the ledge that lets you walk around the windshield to the deck. It also has to do with the size of the boat. Some sizes come in fever and lightning like the 38. The 35, 42, 47 only come in lightning models.

I believe the 38 Lightning replaced the 38 Fever. The Fever was very low-slung, whereas the Lightning has a lot more freeboard. Also, the Fever had the curved Lexan windscreen and the Lightning has the glass-in-frame type.
