Nice to see there are other people out there like me. Year after year I see less and less people I know on the water. There is always an excuse you know the married thing or the kid thing, wedding, birthday, reunion well you get my point and yes I,m single think I,ll stay that way. For everybody who is married and has kids it's a great institution. "Not that there is anything wrong with that"

Hope I covered my butt

Most of our friends from our earlier boating years have moved on to stuff like kids, swimming pools, and little league. That's why we really enjoy OSO, it has introduced us to a bunch of other selfish boater nuts just like us :D

I'm 25 and single, I boat every weekend, haven't missed one yet, if I do its probably weather related. May plan 1 or 2 trips a year, but a break is nice once in a while I guess.

Family and other functions always seem to interfere! My girlfriend is starting to be a big pain in the A$$ about me spending too much time boating. She better wake up quick or "I'm going to miss her!"

YES!!!!!!!!! They do get in the way! And causes friction in the family with those that do not boat! We get mad, bite our tongues, go a little cranky and just do what we have to do!!!!!

I do agree.........we do have such little time in Jersey for boating (weather permitting too) that any function that is on the weekends will give me addtional PMS moments!

I feel exactly the same way. I'd rather go to a funeral, at least the guy that's dead is happy.

Nope, I don't go to family functions if I want to go boating. Just last month I didn't go to my nephew's wedding because I went to the Jacksonville Poker Run. I knew my mom would be pissed, but I also knew she'd get over it.
