Throttle-up Nails It!
This is a public "THANK YOU" to Throttle-Up Propllers. I want to share a GOOD experience here.
Over a year ago I started a major prop testing and evaluation project on my old '77 Martini with TRS outdrive which is unique cause I have made some hull changes, raised the outdrive, and added power. We tested and documented just about everything. (Mirages, Bravos, Spinellis, five blades, cleavers, and more) After several brainstorming sessions with Matt and Julie at Throttle-Up we decided to try to build something out of an old Hydromotive Q-IV in fair condition. I sent it in late this Fall and got it back 3 weeks later, just in time to try before winterizing. My top end is about 2 mph higher than I have EVER seen; Handling and mid range cruise is fantastic; RPM is RIGHT ON; There is very little loss of speed with added weight; And my slip #'s (which I never got below 17%) are now at 10%. In my 50 years of boating (and for 30 of those I was in the business) I don't think I ever spent so few $ for so much performance gain. I recommend that you DO NOT HESITATE to call on these folks for your special performance propeller needs. --- Jer
