Gregg,
I think Ryan's post said something about lightening up   :D :D but why don't you tell us how you really feel??? :D :D BTW, I think it's sad that you refer to those who "hang around" as wannabes...and if truly view yourself as a "lowly racer" you wouldn't say such things. If it were me, I'd consider them fans and feel lucky to have them... Boy, what a little TV time will do to some people   [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: Sean ] |
Pat W. Your right the OLD Etore
boat I talked about has your #6 dry sumps and has 2 GM 502/502 Crate motors W/Whipple chargers They are from IMCO and I guess they have a bunch that can be built to order. If you think you had a ride with Thad ride with Thad JR. the pucker factor is up about 50%. Mike J. :D  |
Who is Gregg Reichman? I have watched Ryan Beckly race, but not this other guy.

Hey Greg,"Herman The German" We have met before, but you are too big of a star to remember that. You were in Will's shop building your phantom. I've got plenty of trophies and checkered flags in my house and office to go around. As for my creditbility in racing, if you do your homework you would know. I would of much rather have taken Danny Mac's approach of a light 6, then blowing drives every race. One, YOU showed that you cant throttle, Two, that you didnt care about wasting your sponsors money. All your "Kilo" records dont come close to holding as much weight as if you had won all the races you had broke down in. I grew up around boat racing long before you started in 1992, and always dreamed of the day to be able to race and I worked my way to be able to do it, I did not buy my way in. I would hardly call what I previously wrote an "attack" on you , but this might be. Thanks for your time!
Ryan Beckley ( wannabe) P/S NO ONE LIKES YOU GREG!!!!!! Surface drives were always legal (arnesons etc...) [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: Ryan Beckley ] |
Ryan, Glad to see you are feeling better. Hope everyone is recovering as well...
I was just perusing Jan Powerboat and those pics (hot shots) man that boat was completely under water...amazing it made it back to the dock...Just two stupid questions...What do you do in a situation like that as far as getting out of it, and what kinda damage can you expect with the motors??? Damn! Is that the space shuttle taking off?
|
DJD; all the boats were catching huge air! the swells were like 10 feet rollers. That shot was taken from the turn by the ventura pier as the boats head out to sea directly towards the swell! That boat handled it like a champ. HARD landings, then they got back on the sticks! It was sweet. I would like to see the race on speedvision, but I dont know if they are going to play it due to the new programing issues.

I hear ya! We had several races this year where we fought 8-10' breakers in our F2 Outerlimits. BIG air time to say the least!

Thats a sweet picture!!
