You would think a race boat would have had some testing before delivery

It took Castelini a week just to get it on plane

Then I must have ran against it....:drink:

Yes, this boat ran from 1991 until it was destroyed in the Point Pleasant race, 1993, 1994 or 1995, I can not remember the year. I do remember the day, we were racing 'A' class at the time, and I can recall seeing debris from the boat floating, as well as seeing the trailer leave the pits on the way home, empty. See 2 pics I found, both from 1991 or 1992.

Sharkey,

I cut and pasted this from the Profile forum

I may have the last official photos of that boat. I took a few in the pits that day, and then a few when it was towed in. I will research the year and get back to you. Back then it was film cameras, i would have to get someone to scan them in. Trust me..... it wasn't pretty coming in !!

I found the pictures. They are from July 1993. I have 2 photos of the boat going out the Manasquan Inlet..... and 1 photo of the bottom front 1/3 of the boat being towed in. No deck, just the bottom section. I will try and get a buddy to scan them in.
I knew there was a reason I was saving these old pictures !

If I were you looking at this boat, I would go to the mall and purchase some Air Nike's and run like hell.

Buy an old Cig or Formula if you want to restore something.
