Question Current boat hauling costs & hauler research?

I'm starting to search for a boat 29' with 10' beam, cruiser, no trailer. Will want it towed to central PA. Searching through the posts, seems $2.00/mile for a good hauler per mile. Is that still a good number to figure into my budget?

Also, what sites can be used to check into details of hauler to assure they are licensed and insured properly?

Found this website and couldn't really understand the report it provided for the carriers insurance, really had nothing with current dates. http://www.safersys.org/CompanySnapshot.aspx
