Centert Console

CENTER CONSOLES: I would be interested in as much information anyone could give me, good or bad, about Concept or Glasstream. I have narrowed my choice down to a Glasstream 328SCX with Twin 300 Verado's or a Concept 32 or 36 with Twin 300 Verado's . Speeds, quality of construction, etc...

Can't go wrong with either one.
We had a 328 with 275 Verados and after putting stock Merc Rev 4 with 25 pitch we ran 72 mph and 4000 rpm was 47-49 mph with 8.5 to 10 gph per engine.
Glasstream is a self bailing hull which we prefered.
With identical power It will always be faster than a Concept due to the steps.
Probably faster than a 31 Reggie boat.
More and more Glasstreams popping up everywhere. Seeing quite a few new ones in the Bahamas(Abacos).
We loved ours and we speak from experience.
BIG BIG BANG for the buck!!

The problem here is if anyones says anything about a boat they did not like everyone jumps there chit and then the post gets either locked or poofed. True real information can not be given in an adult like conversation without an argument starting.

I like my Concept but it is a little one. 60 MPH with 225 Opti on a 23. That is all I can get out of her. Tried different props and I have a hyd jack plate for different heights. That is about as fast I want to go in it anyway. Cruise is nice about 3500 RPM. And my wife likes it better than the Black Thunder.

Glasstream vs. Concept

Thanks for the responses. It is a touch decision. I have been trying to do my homework. I was leaning towards a glasstream, until I read on here some guys were having issues with the hull lamination and fiberglass issues. With a purchase of this size, I am trying to be as thorough as possible. Please, as much info as possible, pro's and con's would be appreciated.........very much.

Is there any reason you havent looked at others like Donzi or Fountain? or do you just like the looks of the 2 lines you are looking at?

Just curious.:D
