Sorry to hear this. I'm sure you gave Jake a wonderful life and his time with your family, the best years of your life.

Mine passed away this time last year. We just put a deposit on another one, he's now a month old and will be joining our family on March 22nd. Can't wait.....you should do the same. Wait a few months and get another dog.

Tim, that was a great photo collection. We had to put down our Lab two years ago. My wife brought this silly little dog home about a month latter and she stole my heart.

I feel for ya Sharkey, I lost Monroe the best dog I've ever had close to two years ago now and I still tears me up. Dogs are very special and the bond we can have with them can be stronger than a human bond.

I lost my black lab several years ago he was 12 still gets to me best dog I ever had. He laid beside my mother and comforted her while she fought cancer until she died. The dog would whine everytime the fire whistle blew after that. She went to the hospital the day she died in the ambulance and after that when the whistle would blow he would whine/cry. What a great dog. I feel for you.
