I can live without catalyst and emissions systems!
Powerabout:
Mercury already has engines available with Catalytic converters to meet the 2010 thru 2012 requirements. Raylar won't be building or supplying any catalyst equipped engines to the market now or in the future as we don't supply engines for new boats. Raylar will focus and concentrate only on the repower and upgrade market. Let the big boys have the new boat market. Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |

Uh. Mercury won P1 in 2009 -- and received the P-1Manufacturer's Award for beating all comers in Evolution class. |

My boat was never configured with a bravo drive. It was built as a blank so we could do the setup ourselves with the #6. I have seen other 300 Convincors with 500 hp and they will not run 70. The best speed seen on mine so far is 114 but pretty sure there is more there. It would be nice to get to the high teens.:) During out last prop testing this fall it took about 12 seconds to get from 35mph to 110.

wow are you at 1300 hp, your prop shaft height to keel is?? hope you hit it my new 28 saber will be about 5000lbs or a lil more with the konrad ace we started at 3'' below keel no steps or notch but has a box. hoping for 100 plus, not sure what motor will dyno at hoping 1100hp.
Drive depth is close to a bravo for a single #6 and the way it likes to run. Pretty deep compared to a twin #6 boat where the props run the sufrace. Jon |
Any real news on the new Mercs?

Who Got Dat Money!
No, not really, most are just out figuring what bank they plan to rob to hopefully come up with the $200K or so it will cost to buy each one! HA!
Were talking a very limited buyer group, can you say less than 1%. Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |

Of course we don't make full boost at 1700 rpms but then neither does a pd sc. We do make full boost at 3000 rpms and the response from throttle application to 24lbs of boost is not more than 1 sec. Does your pd sc reach full boost at 3000rpms? Small torque range? Our engine is over 1000 ft lbs from 2200 rpms on up.
