I wouldn't recommend that anybody spend the money to retrofit a surface drive to a single engine Bravo V bottom. If it was a 36 Nortech that was rigged with Bravos then sure, look at Arnesons or #6's but not on a 28 Scarab. Even if you replace the drive 2x a season for the next 3 years you will be $$ ahead staying with a Bravo style drive. I personally would recommend the Imco's. I have a pair on my Warlock with three seasons. I have replaced the gears once in the port drive.

Ok...just asking...aren't Arnesons designed more for 2 engine cats and not so much for a deep vee 28 ft single?
A lot of peopel seem to think that Arnesons only work on Cats, but think about it, 90-95% of boats in the world are V hulls. We have far more V hull applications than Catamaran applications just purely b/c they are the most popular boat made around the world. |

Google IMCO. Go two one of their websites, or talk to who sells you drive parts or who services your drives. You can also find one in the classifieds. I think there is one or two for sale right now.

What do the IMCO's go for $$$-wise? There seems like such a huge gap between Bravo's / XR's and the big toys. IMCO's may be a decent alternative?
