Sorry for the hi-jack but any concerns when switching from std. deck to tall deck???? Days away from swapping in a tall deck motor. I just run the rubber couplers with 4" pipe as tips. I assumed the difference would be minimal. Also, I assumed the motor centerline wouldnt change. Am I wrong on this???

Arti I have some regular motors that you are more then welcome to use. Can you just compensate for for the difference in the tall deck?

I could check with my buddy Chip (drag racing guy) and see if he has a tall deck? Give me a call.

Artie - Just hope and pray yours show up with all your parts and everything actually works. Mine were delivered 5 weeks ago, and they are just now finally ready to go in the boat, but there is still parts missing. Hopefully they get there this year, and don't disappear like my MSD brackets did.

Biggest thing is that the exhaust moves up and out about 3/16 give or take, if you have enough length of rubber it's no big deal, however it will require a lot of welding if you are stainless all the way.

yep ss all the way but can't pipes until motor is in which will take another 2 weeks. well decided last night instead of a fake block Iam buying a new drive plate but which one bam at over 500 or cp/ ke =about 450 is there a different and looks like in week and a half maybe two the motor should be ready to pick up gona drive the 12 to 15 hours so can get it home quicker besides price is there a different between the 4 1/2'' or 5'' exhaust on a 1000 to 1100 hp motor ss headers I am using I just want this done already I am getting two surgeries after I get this out for some runs, I would of done them over the winter put I figured I be working on the boat oh well, so right now it looks like aug and sept for boating for me oct gets cold quick well after the second week of sept it starts really getting cooler and if there backed up on header tails I am screwed well going to order the coolers to day and will have them next week.tranny came out nice by nopper in and out total rebuild made into a 10 clutch tranny so theres a guy pete thats up north here and has great prices compared to what Igot from the big two and he does drives. thanks.
