So he is going to pay it now? So he basically didn't pay up until he was caught/called out on it?

I didn't like it but I paid 6% Mich tax on my boat.
All you have to do is follow the tax laws. "Out of State" or "offshore delivery" is not illegal or wrong. Follow the laws.....that is why they are there.

Regardless of the optics, it's so damn funny that Kerry is proving out the upside for RI to eliminate the tax, but wouldn't support the same in his own state, pushing the jobs/revenue/boats to a neighboring state. Maybe if MA did the same there be a few more boatyards capable of "maintaining" his boat for him. Makes no sense to me...

He looks worse now for paying the tax, looks more guilty!

I would have stood my ground (tax laws support what he did!), makes you look more honest than a guy that "voluntarily" sends 500K to a state, that made him look stupid.

Anyone here thinks that guy paid for this yacht is nuts.... His ketchup selling wife pays the bills in that deal and she bought the boat (in true Democrat fashion someone else pays for him).

And now looks like he begged enough on his knees for her to sh!t the moneybags on the taxes to save his azz...
