-----Just seeing this Monday morning. Im just another local to Mi. Ed and Sean slappy and hope they are doing OK. I know it will be a set-back for them, but they are competitors the same as all the racers in KW and will return. My best wishes are with them........Bill S

I did make reference to this incident and the crew condition, in my DAY#3, RACE#2 report, a few minutes after the race,

As previously posted by Ron, that picture of the boat up side down, and the orange smoke is very chilling. It does remind us,
that this can be very dangerous. In situations like this, we rely on our experience, safety systems, safety training,
our fellow racers, and the safety net that SBI provides.

I have been in races then things like this happen, and if you do not need to stop and offer assistance (safety/rescue teams
already there), it gets real solemn in the cockpit, as you go by.
