**update ** I just looked in the boat, not good. Everthing is shorted out, no power. The engine compartment was pretty full, the cabin still has a couple feet left in it. Looked in the access covers on the floor and it was just wet and muck. The pulleys are already rusting. I'll call the insurance company tonight. What will they do about the trailer?

Why would they total the trailer, unless it is damaged? Aren't trailers meant to be submersed?
Or does Ins claims deal with this as a package as a whole?

I wish I had known boat was in Beach Haven west, I am about 10 miles from you. I could have hooked it and keep at my house, but I have a lot of tree's none came down but if your boat was there they probably would have. Hopefully it will work out for you.

dan,the ins companys are in it for profit, and they base prices knowing app what they will have to pay out,so im afraid you are right, this storm is going to raise everybody,s rates, not only boat ins, homes, cars, etc.i feel sorry for all who have property damage,no boubt in my mind there will be a lot of folks fighting with their ins carrier.

No one knew it was going to be this bad. Another boat near mine had the plug in it and is now sticking out of someone's house and that was only a small 19'. If my plug was in, that boat would've floated and took off and caused so much more damage. You wouldn't believe the power of that water, it ripped homes off the foundations! I hate dumbasses.
