I'm curious if any of the legitimate boat purchases by customers ended up getting burned with multiple liens etc like the National Marine deal. The show didn't touch on that part of it. Regardless, it's truly sad that hard working business owners like Saber were taken as well as the impact to the bottom line for those smaller banks. At the end of the day whether the banks are publicly traded or privately held, thousands and thousands of shareholders were burned and lost Millions. It is even more disgusting when you look at it like that.

Since there are a lot of west michiganders on this thread I have to ask...was Powerquest caught up in any of this??? It was around the same time period and the loans that were taken out against the company assets were on the same level of ridiculousness.

Glad the Grand Rapids area came out looking pretty good, love the area and people but man what a cheat...

I don't think Powerquest was part of this mess.

"Think" they can pull off? Guy got away with roughly 20mil. All he had to do was flee the country. If he would've stashed away a million of it he could've lived like a king in Mexico or Guatemala or equador etc. only reason he didn't get away with it is because he gave up.

Very informative show that was well produced. Marc, you sounded good.

They kept showing wicked won. Did vorse own that boat? They said that he burned Saber for 200k. What was the details of that?
