Just bought 37 Active Thunder Triple and have some questions (NEWBIE to Forum)
Hey Guys. New to offshore forum and these types of boats in general. I recently purchased a 1998 37' Active Thunder from down near key west. It has (3) 502 Mags which are lower hour and run great (im sure rough on fuel). Kinda bought the boat on a whim for a reasonable price. Boat needs clear coat (and or paint) and interior work. Im a stand up jet ski guy but thought it looked awesome. Just wanted to ask a couple questions
-Are Active Thunder boats a decent boat?
-any "Active thunder" gurus on the forum here? (i have only heard of scarabs fountains, Outerlimits, etc
-Are they still in business?
Thanks a ton guys, excited to join the forum!!!

Go to the active thunder owners section, yes they make very good boats, yes they're still in business, and yes you just unwittingly joined a cult! Have fun!

thats the one
haha, yep thats the one. I definitely know it needs a ton of work. We looked at it a couple weeks ago. In person it is not too bad. I actually saw the boat like 8 months ago on craigslist, I was just waiting for the right price which did eventually come. Im looking for a inexpensive (ish) project for me and my son this Winter. 200-300k is just not right thing for me to spend on my first boat.
ill post in the Active Thunder Area. (just found it)
Thanks

You own the only tripple engine Active Thunder ever built. I worked at the Factory when your boat was built. It's a wave crusher!!! Active Thunder builds great boats and are located in Pomano Beach, FL off of Copans and I95. Get in touch with Pat and he can tell you all about your boat....better yet, bring it to the factory and let them redo the interior and clear coat!!
