Quick google search 565 with an XR for $42,595.00.

It's technically a GM LSA engine, which you can buy crate for just under $12k. That of course doesn't include marinization, trans, drive, closed cooling system, casing, hydraulic trim and steering, exhaust, etc. . . .

Really cool looking boat. Love the paint.

Yeah, but sticking three of those back there will really change the layout and ride.

I'm sure you're correct as I have no experience with that boat or motors, I was just answering the question about a comparable mercury package, which would be the 565 and xr since they do not make an outboard with that much power.

557 hp. so basically two 275 hp outboards rolled up into one mean sounding motor. There was a lot of work that went into those, I do know they use ZF Marine transmissions (applied for an IT job at ZF group here in MI, got offered the job, but took a position elsewhere. Was excited to work for a company that had marine ties until they handed me their offer letter.....)

Probably not as much as you would think. Randy designed it to accommodate I/O's from the beginning. Bob wanted one with 1350's. Lol.
See you in a couple weeks
