In open ocean running, on any given day, the HP difference between two boats of equal length can almost become mute. On a long distance run the lower power boats almost actually become the favorite because the higher HP boats tear themselves up. For this reason I think the classes should be broken down along these lines:

Cat 30ft and under
Vee 30ft and under
Cat 30-35ft
Vee 30-35ft
Etc.....

I think you should read about the 2010 race. You'd be surprised what your boat is capable of.

Excellent. Now could you give us the length and power you will be bringing. This helps us determine how many boats will be in a particular class. Welcome aboard.

Going for the overall win with all the knowledge you and Dave picked up in the Bimini race?

Thanks Steve. We will try to pin down a date as soon as possible so it won't intefere with any other series races.

Could you also give length and power on your boat. As other people read this and see how many of each size will be running, it may help those looking for good competitors.

If anyone needs extra fuel capacity to be added, we would prefer the extra tank flow into the normal fuel system so no additional plumbing needs to be added that might come apart in the ocean if it is rough.
